How Are French Bulldogs Bred. Originally the French Bulldog was bred to have a style of the ear called the rose Today for American French Bulldog breeders at least the preferred style of the ear is called the bat. The French Bulldog is small but substantial in build with a powerful muscular body.

Later on French Bulldogs came to be as English Bulldogs were bred with smaller terriers and pugs.

The mini French Bulldog or Teacup Frenchie is bred through a few different methods which I will cover later and is smaller than a typical French Bulldog.
